Equine Kinesiology Taping

There are so many reasons, ways and methods to using taping that I offer as a general rule
1. Taping is offered as an adjunct to massage.
2. It may be an advantage to instruct the owner how to tape the horse themselves and then sell you the proper tape to be using.
3. Cost for taping is a $10.00 to $30.00 extra charge on the massage.  Cost depends on time taken and amount of tape used.

How does the tape work?

Kinesiology tape works through a special adhesive designed to stick to skin or hair and lift the skin.  This lift creates space for cells to move about and provides just the right amount of stimulation for action to take place.  There may be less than 1 milimeter of space gained but that amount of space is oceans of space, on a cellular level.

What is the taping used for?

Equine Kinesiology Tape can be used on virtually any part of a horse's anatomy.  Anywhere that we might be looking to alleviate a problem, there is probably a taping for that.

Whether we are seeking to heal, reduce inflammation, improve performance, bring healthy oxygen and blood flow ...

Benefits include:

enhanced blood flow and oxygenation to injured tissues.

relief from pain,Removal of lymph, toxins, edema

eliminate muscle spasms

treat trigger points.

Types of taping

To give you an idea of what I can do with taping:

Here I  list the 5 major types of taping.

Many times I use a combination of tapings

Pain Reduction

Inflammation Reduction

Support Tapings

Increased Proprioception
